Symptoms of cancer of the uterine tubes or fallopian tubes include:

  • Heavy bleeding or liquid vaginal discharge;
  • Sensations of pressure;
  • Abdominal discomfort;
  • Bleeding after menopause;
  • However, these symptoms are not specific to cancer of the uterine tubes.

Cases where the cancer actually starts from the fallopian tubes are very rare. Usually, cancer reaches the fallopian tubes as a result of cancer that started elsewhere (for example, in the ovaries). It is more common in women who are past menopause, but it can occur in younger women. One of the risk factors is the presence  of a history of ovarian cancer in the immediate family;
